FLEETING MOMENTS | PRECIOUS MEMORIES

Baby Joshua just turned six months old and we got to celebrate it with a quiet at-home photography session. I love shooting babies that are this age at home because I find it to be the most comfortable environment for them. It is familiar and relaxing.  It is a place where I can get the most giggles and smiles.

About the Session

This session was a huge success. Baby Joshua was so happy and interactive. He was sitting on his own and just enjoying himself the entire time.  His parents are so in love with him. I got to photograph many tender kisses, smiles and tight squeezes.  I had a wonderful time during this session and I feel privileged to have met and photographed this family.

I am so glad to have had the opportunity to meet Asami and Kento, expectant couple from Japan. They moved to Chicago in order for Kento to attend the Kellog School of Management and found out they are expecting, a boy. How wonderful!  In order to capture this special occasion, we decided to do a golden hour beach maternity session.

ABOUT THE SESSION

For this session we chose the Lighthouse beach in Evanston which is adjacent to Northwestern University. This location is one of the most beautiful I had a chance to photograph at.  The tall grass poking through the grass, beautiful sunset light coming through the lush green trees and the calmness of lake made this a perfect area to celebrate through images of what is to come very soon.

I was honored to photograph this sweet couple and I am so excited for their new arrival.  Enjoy!

Baby Lydia's newborn photo session brightened up the day.  I loved everything about this in-home shoot. Her cute smiles and beautiful big blue eyes, as well as hand made props, made this session amazing.

About the session

After photographing the maternity session with baby Lydia's parents a couple of months ago, I was really excited about returning to their beautiful home and meeting this sweet baby girl.  In the anticipation of Lydia's arrival, her mother knitted and crafted many beautiful props.  The flower headband we used in the first image was the most intricate one that I have ever seen.  She also made cute stuffed animals and a purple blanket.  These handmade items contributed to the uniqueness of the session.
