What is lifestyle photography?
Lifestyle photography tells a story -- your story -- with only light involvement and direction from the photographer. I want to capture your family narrative as it’s unfolding. I find that with considerate and restrained guidance, these “camera worthy” moments develop organically. Savor the people you love and let me focus my lens on you, as you really are.

For newborn sessions, this means that though we may wrap your baby in a favorite swaddle, I will allow your little bundle to move and find their own sweet positions. Tiny fingers and toes stretching outward make my heart dance, and capturing these fleeting moments allows you to treasure them forever.

What is included in my session fee?

Your investment includes any pre-session consulting and planning, our time together, a complete digital collection of 60+ wonderfully edited hi-resolution images, and print release. Please visit my Pricing page for all the details.

How long will it take for us to receive our photos?

About two weeks.

Do you charge more if we want to include additional people?

No! I understand that grandparents or other family members may be visiting when there is a new baby in your home, or that extended family gets together for a special occasion and wants a group portrait. Please note, though, that your session is limited by time, and understand that you are sharing this time at your discretion. Additional hours are billed at a rate of $200 per hour.

Do you travel?

I create portraits for families all over the San Francisco Bay Area. I am based in Walnut Creek and often photograph families in the East Bay and San Francisco. Please note that if you are located outside of Alameda, Contra Costa, and San Francisco counties, a travel fee will apply.

How will our images be delivered?

Approximately two weeks following our session, you will receive the link to your password protected web gallery of 60+ hand edited images. These images are produced at full resolution and are ready for download. Once you have downloaded your gallery, you may print through your preferred print lab. If you do not have a preferred printer, your gallery is connected to an excellent print company, for your convenience.

I’m not photogenic. I always feel awkward in front of a camera.

Guiding you into a great photo is what I do! I enjoy softly guiding my clients through a session. In the moments “in between” are often found the best photographs. I find the most flattering angles and best sources of natural light. The result is an extraordinary gallery of images you will cherish.

When should I book my session?

As soon as possible! Fall weekends book especially quickly. I highly suggest booking maternity sessions for between 32 and 35 weeks of pregnancy.

How do I book a newborn session?

Together we’ll decide on a two-week date range, with reference to your scheduled due date. I understand that babies arrive in their own time; in the case of early or overdue arrival, we will adjust our session date accordingly. Your newborn session is reserved with a deposit and a signed contract. If you find that your baby is a bit older than 2 weeks and you now want a newborn session, please reach out to me. Although the first two weeks of life are ideal for “the sleepy factor”, as a lifestyle photographer I would love to photograph your baby just as they are!

"We used Bojana for both maternity and newborn photos and could not be happier with our photo galleries! The booking process was extremely easy, she was quick to respond to our messages, and flexible with rescheduling when the weather was not cooperating. I wavered on even getting maternity photos because I did not want typical photos of my husband and I posed with hands all over my bump. She perfectly captured our natural personalities though with flattering angles that showcased my bump. I’m so happy we have these photos to look back on! The newborn session was just as great! She was patient with our baby and let the session flow with his temperament. So glad we found her and consider her a must book when adding a little one to your family!"
