FLEETING MOMENTS | PRECIOUS MEMORIES
Family holiday photos too often tend to be slightly confined. Even though the images are meant to portray joy they somehow come short of that goal. It might be the time limit of the session (such as mini holiday sessions), or stiff new corduroy pants, cold weather, itchy wool sweaters but whatever the reason might be, this was not the case during this session. We had lots of fun and Charlotte was once again the star.
About the Family
I love this sweet family, always so stylish, ready to play and such good people. This was our fifth session together. I started photographing them when Charlotte was just a few days old, then we did Charlotte's six month session, one year and two years. Each session was remarkable and this one is no less. Charlotte is full of giggles and energy, a photographers dream.
Also, this is their last session as a family of three. Charlotte is going to be a big sister.
About the Session
Usually, I like to time my sessions for either early in the morning or late afternoon to catch the best light but believe it or not I shot this during the mid-day. I was lucky to have some overcast and for the most part we stayed in the open shade. The light ended up being perfect. We used this park twice before in our sessions so we all felt very comfortable during the session. It was such a success that I had a difficult time pulling the images for processing. I ended up with about 90 in the final gallery. As you see, I had a hard time narrowing down my favorites for this blog too. I just counted, 36... it must be a record. Enjoy!
